Bluffer's Guide to Cinema: Freak Me Out

In this free talk Richard Kuipers, programmer of the Freak Me Out section of Sydney Film Festival, provides a sneak peek at some of the freakiest films chosen for the year.

Freak Me Out is where you’ll find scary, daring, provocative and downright weird movies, and is one of the most popular collections each year. Richard will show snippets of this year’s films and talk about the process of selecting them for the festival.

Bring along your questions, your curiosity and your courage. This year’s selection is bound to set your pulse racing.

Richard Kuipers is a film critic for international trade publication Variety. A specialist in weird cinema, Richard has also produced documentaries including The Cambodian Space Project – Not Easy Rock ‘n’ Roll.
