IMAX SYDNEY

  • For the first time ever, SFF is screening at IMAX Sydney, at the heart of the new and improved Darling Harbour. Experience Sydney’s biggest screen and then walk over to Darling Square and grab at one of the many eateries.

 

STATE THEATRE

  • Enter another world in the gorgeous heritage-listed State Theatre with the worlds second largest crystal chandelier, then browse the shops in Pitt Street Mall and enjoy a long picnic on the grass in Hyde Park.

 

CITY RECITAL HALL

  • Immerse yourself in Hear My Eyes: Hellraiser with a live score and laser show at City Recital Hall, then take in a concert from Marlon Williams or Blonde Redhead and dine at one of the delish alleyway restaurants dotted around Angel Place.

 

SFFTV AT MARTIN PLACE

  • SFF comes to the State Library for the first time, showcasing the State Library’s beautiful new cinema underneath the Mitchell Library Reading Room. Watch a documentary on Charmian Clift, then experience interactive performance A Thousand Ways: An Encounter or stroll through the Library’s new photography gallery.

 

THE HUB @ TOWN HALL

  • Stop by the Hub at Lower Town Hall: ground zero for Festival talks, events, parties and, of course, trivia! Kick back at the Challenger Lounge in between screenings, or swing by for Happy Hour between 4:30pm-6pm every day during the Festival.

 

EVENT CINEMAS GEORGE ST

  • Event Cinemas George St are a short walk from Sydney Town Hall, located in the heart of Sydney’s Chinatown and a stone’s throw from shopping precinct World Square.

 

PALACE CENTRAL CINEMAS

  • Take a tram down to Palace Central, on the top floor of the acclaimed Central Park building. Stop by Fortress, the largest games venue in the Southern Hemisphere. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, be sure to make a pitstop at Spice Alley, home to mouth-watering Malaysian, Thai and Indian street food.
