Skywalkers: A Love Story
It’s an extremely dangerous and illegal activity, but ‘rooftoppers’ – photogenic Angela and uber-fit Ivan – are fiercely committed to scaling treacherously tall buildings and filming themselves. The Russian duo joined forces to climb and ended up in a relationship. Extreme risks and romance are difficult bedfellows, however – and, in a funk, Angela (one of the few women in the sport) decides to climb the world’s highest building with or without her partner. The perils are immense: the 118-story Malaysian skyscraper is still under construction, and if the authorities catch her, she faces imprisonment. Captured on handheld cameras and drones, the duo’s story is spectacular, terrifying and vertigo-inducing – you’ll want to look away but can’t!
